Atlantis Robotics Private Limited ("ThinkRobotics", "we", "us") Effective date: [01/04/2026] | Version 2.0
1. What this policy covers
1.1 A Pre-Order Item is any product listed on thinkrobotics.com (or our mobile app) that is marked "Pre-Order", "Coming Soon – Book Now" or similar, because we do not yet hold it in stock at the time you order.
1.2 This policy applies only to Pre-Order Items. For a Pre-Order Item it prevails over the general Refund Policy wherever the two differ. For everything not covered here (for example warranty claims after delivery), the general Refund Policy, Shipping Policy and Terms of Service continue to apply.
1.3 Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, or any other law that cannot be excluded by contract.
2. Placing a pre-order
2.1 Price and taxes. The price shown at checkout, inclusive of GST and any shipping charge shown, is the price you pay. We do not add charges after you have placed the order.
2.2 Payment. Pre-orders are payable in full at the time of ordering. The payment terms for each product are shown on its product page before you pay.
2.3 Estimated dispatch date. Each Pre-Order Item shows an estimated dispatch window. It is our good-faith estimate based on information from the manufacturer or supplier. It is not a guaranteed delivery date, but our obligations if it is missed are set out in Section 4.
2.4 Order confirmation. You will receive an order confirmation by email. A pre-order is accepted when we send that confirmation. The confirmation will state that the item is a pre-order, the estimated dispatch window, and a link to this policy.
2.5 Allocation. Where supply is limited, units are allocated in the order in which pre-orders were confirmed.
3. Fulfilment
3.1 When the item reaches us and passes our inbound check, we will dispatch it to the address on your order and send tracking details. Dispatch and delivery then follow our Shipping Policy.
3.2 Specification changes. Manufacturers sometimes make minor changes before release (packaging, colour of a cable, bundled accessories of equal or higher value). If a change is material, meaning it affects the function, compatibility, performance or included contents that were described on the product page when you ordered, we will tell you before dispatch and you may cancel for a full refund under Section 5.1(c).
3.3 Partial supply. Where you ordered several items, we may dispatch available items first. We will not charge extra shipping for a split shipment. If you prefer a single shipment, tell us before dispatch and we will hold the order until all items are ready.
4. Delays
4.1 We will email you within [7] days of becoming aware that the estimated dispatch window is likely to be missed, with a revised estimate and the reason, where known.
4.2 If the item has not been dispatched by [15] days after the original estimated dispatch date (or after the most recent revised date you accepted in writing), you may cancel and receive a full refund of everything you paid, with no deduction. You do not need to give a reason.
4.3 Delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control (for example customs holds, manufacturer production stoppage, natural disaster, government action) does not make us liable for damages. It does not reduce your right to a full refund under Section 4.2.
5. Cancellation by you
5.1 You may cancel a Pre-Order Item at any time before dispatch, as follows.
|
Stage of your order |
Refund |
|
(a) Before we have placed a supplier order for your unit. Status: "Order received" or "Awaiting allocation". |
Full refund of the amount paid, less only the payment-gateway charge we actually incurred and cannot recover, not exceeding 5% of the order value. |
|
(b) After we have placed a firm, non-cancellable supplier order specifically for your unit (for example a made-to-order, imported or customised item). This applies only if the product page said so clearly before you paid. |
Refund of the amount paid, less documented non-recoverable costs we have incurred because of your order, capped at 10% of the order value. We will give you the figure and the basis on request. |
|
(c) Any time before dispatch, where Section 3.2 (material change), Section 4.2 (delay) or Section 6 (our cancellation) applies. |
Full refund, no deduction. |
|
(d) After dispatch. |
Cancellation is no longer possible. You may refuse delivery only in the situations described in Section 8.2. Otherwise the general Refund Policy and warranty terms apply. |
5.2 Any deduction under (a) or (b) must be a genuine, reasonable estimate of loss to us. We will not retain more than we have actually lost. If you consider the deduction too high, you may use the grievance process in Section 10.
5.3 How to cancel. Write to support@thinkrobotics.com quoting your order number. The date and time we receive the request is the cancellation date. We will acknowledge within one working day.
5.4 Making a deduction does not affect your right to the balance as store credit instead of a refund, if you prefer. Store credit is optional and offered at your choice, never imposed.
6. Cancellation by us
6.1 We may cancel a pre-order if, for example, the manufacturer discontinues or delays the product indefinitely, we cannot obtain stock at all, a pricing or listing error occurred, a legal or customs restriction applies, or we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse of the pre-order system.
6.2 If we cancel, you receive a full refund of the entire amount paid, including taxes, shipping and any payment-gateway charges, with no deduction. We will notify you by email/SMS promptly after the decision.
6.3 We will apply the same standard to you and to ourselves: we do not charge you a cancellation fee in any situation in which we would not accept paying one if we cancelled.
7. Price changes
7.1 The price you paid is fixed for your order. We will not ask you for more money after you have paid, and will not raise the price of a confirmed pre-order.
7.2 If, before dispatch, we reduce the price of the same item for new customers, we will [credit you the difference / not adjust your order]. [Choose one and apply consistently.]
8. On delivery
8.1 Inspection. Please check the package when it arrives. Report visible transit damage or missing items to support@thinkrobotics.com with photographs within 24 hours of delivery, quoting your order number. Reports after that are still considered, but proof that the damage occurred in transit may be harder to establish.
8.2 Defective, damaged, wrong or materially different item. If the product delivered is defective, damaged, not the item ordered, or materially different from its description, we will, at your option, replace it or refund you in full, and we bear the return shipping cost. This right is in addition to your statutory rights.
8.3 Warranty. For Pre-Order Items, any warranty runs from the date of invoice. Warranty terms are otherwise as stated on the product page or in the Refund Policy.
8.4 Exclusions that apply to ordinary orders (for example misuse, unauthorised modification, soldering, static damage, items not purchased from us) apply equally here, but we bear the burden of showing they apply.
9. How refunds are paid
9.1 Refunds go to the original payment method (card, UPI, net banking, wallet) unless you choose store credit.
9.2 We will initiate the refund within 2 working days of the cancellation being accepted. Your bank or payment provider usually credits it within a further 5–7 working days; some banks take longer. We will give you the payment gateway's reference number on request, and a refund confirmation from the gateway where available.
9.3 GST collected on the cancelled portion is refunded with it. Any shipping charge you paid is refunded if the item was not dispatched.
10. Questions and complaints

10.2 You may also contact the National Consumer Helpline (1915 / consumerhelpline.gov.in) or approach the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission. Nothing in this policy prevents you from doing so.
11. General
11.1 Quantity limits. Some Pre-Order Items have per-customer limits stated on the product page. We may cancel units above the limit and refund them in full under Section 6.2.
11.2 Business purchases. If you buy for resale or a commercial purpose and are not a "consumer" under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the same cancellation tiers apply, and the statutory provisions that protect consumers apply only to the extent the law gives them to you.
11.3 Governing law. This policy is governed by the laws of India. Subject to your right as a consumer to file proceedings in any forum permitted by the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, courts at New Delhi have jurisdiction.
11.4 Changes. We may update this policy for future orders. A pre-order is governed by the version in force on
