Mosquito Hotend

The Mosquito Hotend is the next step in the evolution of hotend technology. With incredible heat break performance, high temperature rating, low mass, and the famous one-handed nozzle change™, it is the ideal engineering-grade addition to your 3D printer.

How did we accomplish this?

By reimagining how a hotend is designed and structured from the ground up. The materials in each part of the Mosquito Hotend® have been hand selected to perform a specific task to optimize your printer’s performance with speed, modularity, and durability in mind. Users of the Mosquito Hotend® create everything from spinal fusion devices to race car parts to 3D Benchy’s. Are you ready to see your vision fully realized?

A great upgrade to any printer.

❝One-handed nozzle changes, zero heat creep, lighter than stock (meaning faster printing) - it's the best! ❞

Rigid “Roll Cage” Structure

Machined out of aircraft-grade aluminum, the Mosquito Hotend’s heat sink is built like no other on the market. Designed with our patented “roll cage” design, the heat sink connects to the hot block with a rigid tubular structure. This unique feature protects the delicate heat break from crashes and other abuse and allows one-handed nozzle changes.

Bimetallic Heat Break™

Mosquito’s Bimetallic Heat Break is designed to eliminate heat creep and jamming, improve print resolution and allow for shorter retractions. Crafted with a highly conductive copper alloy and strain-hardened, abrasion-resistant steel, this heat break conducts 85% less heat up the filament path when compared to standard threaded heat breaks.

Super-Conductive Hot Block

Mosquito’s hardened copper alloy hot block is nickel plated and rated to 500°C, enabling printing of every commercially available filament, from basic PLAs to custom, medical-grade PAEKs. The hot block design isolates the sensor from the heater with a physical air gap, improving the temperature feedback loop.

Equipped for Excellence

Every Mosquito Hotend comes with three essential accessories that elevate your 3D printing experience. The GammaMaster® Nozzle excels in even the most demanding applications with robust, abrasion-resistant performance and exceptional thermal capabilities. Safeguard your hot block with the Mosquito Silicone Boot, providing essential protection from cold air and filament for optimal performance. Additionally, Boron Nitride Paste, a thermal conduction enhancement, and potting agent, is included to simplify heater and sensor installation.

We highly recommend the use of BN paste with the Mosquito Hotend® to provide good thermal conductivity between the hotend and heater/thermistor
