The RealSense™ Depth Camera D455f features Intel's long range D455 with an IR pass filter. The addition of an IR Pass Filter over the lenses resolves repetitive pattern and false object detection due to light reflections.
The D455f is the third IR-pass filter camera in the D400f family. It is based on the D450 optical module with the increased baseline of 95 mm, improving the depth Z-accuracy to less than 2% at 4m. It also contains a global shutter 87°horizontal field of view RGB, matching the depth FOV. It includes an IMU which allows applications to refine depth awareness in any situation where the camera moves.
The longer range D455f is ideal for environments with reflective or transparent surfaces in applications such as robotics, retail, restaurant, and medical. It is supported with the Intel RealSense SDK 2.0.
