How do I read current with this sensor module?
The module outputs an analog voltage proportional to the current and is read by a microcontroller analog input. It can sense AC or DC currents up to 20A with a sensitivity of 66 to 185 mV per A and operates from a 5V single supply.
What is the maximum current and which variants are available?
The sensor supports up to 20A for both AC and DC. It is available in 5A and 20A variants to suit your current range.
What isolation does this module provide between the measured circuit and the output?
There is a minimum isolation of 2.1 kVRMS between pins 1-4 and pins 5-8.
What are the power and output characteristics I should know?
The module operates on a 5.0 V single supply. The output is ratiometric to the supply and bandwidth up to 80 kHz can be set via the FILTER pin.
Where can I find documentation and example code for this module?
Official resources include datasheets for the 5A and 20A variants, libraries, sample code and tutorials.
