Insert terminal into the proper nest with tongue markings facing up.
Rotate the locator down and position the terminal so that the front of the barrel is flush with the locator.
Insert stripped wire.
Close handles until the SHURE STAKE® mechanism cycle is complete.
Maintenance & Safety
Keep all body parts away from the die nest during gaging or crimping.
Release the SHURE STAKE® mechanism by pushing the release bar until ratchet teeth disengage.
Clean dust, moisture, and contaminants with a soft, lint-free cloth or brush.
Protect pins, pivot points, and bearing surfaces with a thin coat of SAE No. 20 motor oil—do not over-oil.
Store in a cool, dry area when not in use.
Inspect regularly for cracks, sharp edges, or imperfections; ensure nest area is free of burrs, dents, or scratches.
