MLX90614ESF-BAA-000-TU-ND is a non-contact infrared thermometer for Arduino, or any microcontroller that can communicate with it through it's I2C interface. This sensor comes with a breakout board with all of the components needed for operation and two types of pins. 
They are unsoldered. There are two solder jumpers for the I2C interface that may or may not need to be soldered depending on your application, but will not for most uses.

    It uses a SMBus compatible digital interface over I2C. The breakout board provides 10k pull up resistors and two optional solder jumpers for the I2C interface, which may not be needed for most projects.
    What are the temperature ranges and the resolution and accuracy?
    Sensor temperature range is -40 to +125 C and object temperature range is -70 to +380 C. The accuracy is 0.5 C over 0 to +50 C for Ta and To, with a resolution of 0.02 C.
    Are there different variants available?
    Yes, there are single and dual zone versions.
    What power supply is needed and are there power saving features?
    It can operate with 8 to 16 V supply. It includes a sleep mode to reduce power consumption.
    What is included in the package and what resources are available?
