Details:

  • Double bridge unit H
  • Chip L298N (new ST)
  • logical voltage 5 V
  • Drive voltage 5 V-35 V
  • Logic current 0mA-36mA
  • Drive current 2A (maximum single bridge)
  • Storage temperature-20 to + 135
  • Maximum power 25 W
  • Weight 30g
  • Size: 43 * 43 * 27mm

Using L298N made by ST company as the control chip, the module has such features as strong driving. Capacity, low calorific value and strong anti-interference capacity. This module can use built-in 78M05 for electrical work through a part of driving power supply. but to avoid the damage

From the voltage stabilizer chip, use an external 5 V logic source When using more than 12 V driving voltage. Using the large capacity filter capacitor, this module can follow the current to protect the diodes, and improve the reliability

This module is integrated with a built-in 5 V power. when the drive voltage is 7 V-35 V,  You can enable the 5 V logic power supply, after the power supply, do not enter  Voltage on the interface + 5 V power supply, but you can carry the 5 V for external use.  When ENA enable IN1 IN2 control OUT1 OUT2.  When ENB allow IN3 IN4 control OUT3 OUT4.

What voltages and current can this motor driver handle?
Drive voltage range is 5 V to 35 V and the maximum current per bridge is 2 A.
Do I need to supply a separate 5 V logic power?
Yes. When using 7 to 35 V drive voltage you can enable the built in 5 V logic power. If you use voltages higher than 12 V or want extra safety, use an external 5 V logic source.
How are the enable and input pins used to drive the outputs?
ENA enables OUT1 and OUT2 while ENB enables OUT3 and OUT4; IN1 IN2 control OUT1 and OUT2, and IN3 IN4 control OUT3 and OUT4.
What are the physical dimensions and weight of the module?
The module measures 43 x 43 x 27 mm and weighs about 30 g.
Is this module suitable for Arduino projects and where can I find documentation?
Yes, it is designed for Arduino based projects and uses the ST L298N chip. The datasheet is available for technical details.
