Depth Camera D455

Depth Camera D455

Twice the range.
Better performance.

Introducing the latest addition to the family, the Intel® RealSense™ Depth Camera D455. The D455 is the fourth in the D400 series, designed from feedback and knowledge gained from over 10 years of stereo camera development.

The Intel RealSense Depth Camera D455 extracts 3D information from a scene, enabling developers to add 3D depth to robotics navigation, object recognition, and other applications. This USB-powered depth camera features a pair of depth sensors, an RGB sensor with a global shutter, a range of up to 66', a minimum distance of 1.3', and an infrared projector. This D455 version includes an IMU (inertial measurement unit) that enables your application to refine its depth awareness when using a moving camera on a drone or robot. It also features inertial 6DoF (six degrees of freedom) measurement data for enhanced accuracy.

The D455 is an indoor/outdoor solution designed to fit developers' prototypes. Its wide 86° field of view and global shutter combination offers accurate depth perception with a moving object or a device in motion, and it covers more area, minimizing blind spots. Use the D455 for accurate capture for collision avoidance, 3D scanning, digital signage, and volumetric measurement uses.

Stereo Depth

Stereo image sensing technologies use two cameras to calculate depth. Intel RealSense stereo depth technology brings 3D to devices and machines that only see 2D. Designed for easy setup and portability, the RealSense D455 features long-range capabilities and high-depth resolution, and it includes active infrared (IR) stereo. The D455 is a wide field-of-view solution using global shutter sensors. The wide view/global shutter combination makes the D455 ideal for applications such as robotic navigation and object recognition. The wider field of view allows a single camera to cover more area, resulting in less blind spots. The global shutter sensors provide great low-light sensitivity, allowing robots to navigate spaces with the lights off.
