Tutorial
What power supply does the sensor require and what is its standby current?
It operates from 3.3 to 20 V DC and has a standby current of less than 3 mA. Transmit power is below 2 mW.
What is the detection range and field of view?
Detection range is 6 to 9 meters with a 360 degree spherical field of view. The default range is 8 meters and options for 6 to 9 meters can be ordered.
What type of output does it provide and how do I connect it to a microcontroller?
The sensor outputs a TTL level signal with high at 3.3 V and low at 0 V. Connect this signal to a microcontroller input to trigger actions.
What environments is it suitable for and how does it handle interference?
The sensor uses Doppler microwave radar and has strong anti jamming capability. It can operate reliably in lighting and automation applications and signals may be detected through doors, glass and thin walls.
How can I configure the trigger mode and the detection delay?
The default trigger mode is Repeat Trigger. The output delay can be set from 1 second to hundreds of seconds with a default of 30 seconds.
